The United Nations (UN) reports the India maternal mortality rate is very higher among all developed nations. About 1000 women die every day due to pregnancy and child birth case. The report was released jointly by WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA and World Bank.
The report says that must of the women die of infection, uncontrolled bleeding after childbirth, unsafe abortion and hypertention.
